Mr. Steven Eugene Westbrook of Lindale, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 79 years, one month, 11 days.
Steve was born March 26, 1941, in San Augustine County, Texas, to parents William Audrey and Eugenia (Chumley) Westbrook. He was a longtime area resident before moving to Lindale several years ago. He was a member of the South Main Church of Christ. Steve had worked as a roofer and in feed store retail sales. He was a veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Navy.
His survivors include a brother, Weldon Westbrook of Needville, Texas; a sister, Sheila Rash and husband Louis of Jamestown, Texas; nieces and nephews, Evelyn and Mike Coyne of Lindale, Texas, Clifton and Lisa Alegre of Pensacola, Florida, Cindy Rodriguez of Hawkins, Texas, Eugene Westbrook of Granbury, Texas, Jeffery and Neva Westbrook of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Laura and Darin Faas of Needville, Texas; and great-nieces and nephews, Cade Westbrook, Caitlyn Westbrook, Claire Westbrook, Emily Westbrook, Carah Howe, and Lucas Coyne; and host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Westbrook.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Chumley Cemetery, located on County Road 127 near San Augustine, Texas, with Ira Lynn officiating.
