Shannon (Smallwood) Lowrie

Shannon Smallwood Lowrie, age 56, of Lufkin, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, in Lufkin, Texas.

Shannon was born June 13, 1965, in Houston, Texas, as a daughter of Pamela (George) and Darrell Smallwood. She was a branch office administrator for Edward Jones Investments, having served for 15 years.  She loved her family more than anything in this world.  Being a Nene was her all time favorite.  

Her survivors include her husband, Cliff Lowrie of Lufkin, Texas; her father, Darrell Smallwood and wife Janice of Houston, Texas; her daughters, Christina Barnett and husband Brandon of Chireno, Texas, and Courtney Bush and husband Preston of San Augustine, Texas; and her grandchildren, Ella Barnett, Laine Bush, and Callie Bush.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela Lilly and husband Clyde; grandparents, Alvin and Mattie Ella Smallwood and Clover George; and her parents-in-law, Mae and Frank Lowrie.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine, Texas.

Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the San Augustine County Cowboy Church, located at 539 FM 711 North in San Augustine, Texas.

Committal services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Farris Cemetery, located on FM 1791 near Huntsville, Texas.

Pallbearers: Andy Lowrie, Roger Lowrie, Coyte Lowrie, Matthew Bush, Derek McCloud, and Darrenn Fountain. Honorary pallbearers: Brandon Barnett, Preston Bush, Jaykob Lowrie, and Steve Hively.

In lieu of flowers, Shannon's family is requesting memorial gifts to the National Kidney Foundation.
