Roxie Bryan

Mrs. Roxie Bryan, age 89, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020, at CHI St. Luke's Memorial Hospital in San Augustine, Texas.

Born July 13, 1931, as a daughter of the Clara Bell (Chapel) and John Floyd Wiatt, Mrs. Bryan was a lifelong San Augustine area resident. She was a member of Grapevine Missionary Baptist Church. Roxie faithfully worked on the family farm as well as in the cafeteria for San Augustine Independent School District. Later years found her also working private duty health care.

Her survivors include her daughter, Shirley Russell and husband Chris of Foley, Alabama; a son, Gaylon Bryan and wife Janice of San Augustine; grandchildren, Kim Russell, Matt Russell, Jason Bryan, and Jana Lee; and great-grandchildren, Roxie Wallace, Abby Russell, Will Russell, Jet Tomlinson, Belle Russell, Charlie Russell, Jenkins McWilliams, Raylan Lee, and Corbyn Lee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kellie Bryan, in 1998; her sons, Kellie Elton "Knot" Bryan in 1970, Ronnie Wayne Bryan in 1987, and John Keith Bryan in 2011; her father, John Floyd Wiatt; her mother, Clara Bell Wiatt; and her brother, Robert Wiatt.

Private graveside services are being planned with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
