Ronald M. "Ronnie" Mundy

Mr. Ronald Matthew "Ronnie" Mundy of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023, at his residence at the age of 55 years, 4 months, 14 days.

He was born January 13, 1968, in Channelview, Texas, to parents Alvin and Susan Mundy. Ronnie was a mechanic and carpenter. He also operated a local lawn care service and enjoyed fishing. He was a member of Broaddus Pentecostal Church and had lived in Broaddus for the past several years.

His survivors include his wife, Courtney Mundy of Broaddus; a son, Cody Mundy and Kayden of Broaddus; his mother, Susan Mundy of Broaddus; a sister, Cindy Heil of Broaddus; nephew, Chaz Heil and Kasey of Longview; great-nephew, Landon Heil; great-niece, Ansley Heil; parents-in-law, Sheila and Roger Degenstein of Oakes, North Dakota; sisters-in-law, Lindsey Larson of Phoenix, Arizona, and Wendy Lang and Brian of Jamestown, North Dakota; niece and nephews, Hadley Lang, Grayson Lang, and Declan Lang; grandmother, Blanche Mahlum of Oakes, North Dakota; uncles and aunts, Billy and Mary Ingram, Larry and Patsy Coon, Jonell and Buddy Whistine, and Nettie Bell Hyde.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Mundy; and his grandparents, William and Grace Ingram and Matthew and Ezzie Beth Mundy. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday,  June 2, 2023, at Broaddus Pentecostal Church, located at 1402 Hwy. 147 South in Broaddus, Texas.

Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Broaddus Pentecostal Church, located at 1402 Hwy. 147 South in Broaddus, with Bro. Mark Green officiating. Interment will follow at Broaddus Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Brett Preuett, Chris Woodall, Mark Mundy, Larry Owens, Tommy Valentine, and Derek Mundy. Honorary pallbearers: Brody Clendennen, Cassidy Woodall, Barrett Bennefield, and Brayden Askew.
