Robert C. "Bob" Wright

Mr. Robert C. "Bob" Wright, age 89, of Lufkin passed away September 11, 2023, at Huntington Health Care Center in Huntington.

Mr. Wright was born July 26, 1934, in Sabine County to parents Margaret (Zeigler) and Cullen Wright and grew up in the Bronson area. He was a graduate of Bronson High School. Proudly serving his country, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

For 31 years, he lived in the Houston area and retired as a machinist for General Electric (GE). He and his wife moved to Angelina County in 1996 following retirement. Bob was a Mason for over 50 years and a member of the Bronson Masonic Lodge.

His survivors include his wife of 59 years, Althea Wright of Lufkin; brothers, Leo Wright, and wife Barbara, and Theo Wright, all of Bronson; a sister, Sherry Mitchell of Warren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cullen and Margaret Wright; brothers, Jim Wright, William Arthur Wright, and Kenneth Wright; a sister, Charlene; and a nephew, Ray Wright.

Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine.

Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Skipper Eberlan officiating. Committal services and interment with Masonic rites will follow at the Attoyac Cemetery, located on FM 3316.

Pallbearers: David Wright, Larry Wright, Chris Mitchell, Robert William Wright, Chip Wright, and R.D. Modisette.
