Robert Lakey

Mr. Robert Lakey, age 54, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Lakey was born June 6, 1966, in Lufkin, Texas, to parents Margaret Wagstaff and Robert Roy "Buckey" Lakey. He was a longtime area resident and worked for the City of San Augustine as an electrical superintendent. He was a member of the Baptist church.

His survivors include his wife, Kay Lakey of Broaddus, Texas; children, Jera Lakey Brittain and husband Terry of Hemphill, Texas, Rachel Lakey of Broaddus, Texas, and Samuel Lakey of Broaddus, Texas; mother Margaret Wagstaff;  brothers, Joey Watson and wife Christina, Glen Wagstaff, and Jacky Lakey; a sister, Brenda Lakey; grandchildren, Tori Brittain and Blake Brittain; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives.

Preceded in death by his father Robert Roy "Buckey" Lakey; step-dad Weldon Wagstaff; great-grandmother Carrie Wagstaff

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church, located at 310 FM 83 East in Broaddus, Texas, with Pastor Don Lofton officiating.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021, at the church.
