Randa Moore Obituary

Randa J'nae Moore of Chireno, Texas, passed from this world at 30 years old on July 14, 2020.

Born to Gus and Tammy Moore on July 19, 1989 in Nacogdoches, Texas, Randa grew up and lived her life surrounded by family in Chireno. She attended Chireno ISD and graduated as valedictorian of the class of 2007. She went on to attend Stephen F. Austin State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.

Randa was passionate about life and never settled for being told she couldn't do something. Her resilience and fortitude in facing life's challenges inspired her entire family as well as a number of friends.

Randa loved to travel and go on vacations with her family and friends. She loved to listen to music and she loved to dance. She enjoyed crafting from an early age and was always willing to tackle a new project. She had a strong sense of family and often encouraged and planned family get togethers. She loved playing cards and board games and just visiting with everyone. She was quick-witted and a bit of a schemer, often playing jokes on others and making everyone laugh.

Randa also loved animals and raised a variety of them over the years. Dogs, fish, bearded dragons, sugar gliders, horses, and rabbits are just a few of the animals Randa raised and cared for.

Randa loved being a big sister and an aunt. Kenley and Jaxton were her pride and joy. You could rarely find either of them at an event without Randa there cheering them on. Being an aunt completed her in ways she didn't even realize. Randa was all about family and was always there for whoever needed her, no matter what.

Randa is survived by her father and step-mother, Gus and Amanda Moore of Chireno; mother, Tammy Moore of Lufkin; grandparents, Gus and Virginia Moore of Chireno, Donald Mills of San Augustine, and Brenda Skeans of Chireno; sister and brother-in-law, Brittney and TJ Mayhugh of Chireno; sister, Kenley Moore of Chireno; brother, Jaxton Moore of Chireno; nephews, James Mayhugh and DeWane Mayhugh of Chireno; niece, Symone Mayhugh of Chireno; aunts and uncles, Mary and Ed West of Nacogdoches, Raymond and Opal Moore of Chireno, Sheila and Ronnie Spencer of Chireno, Edward and Dawn Ites of Nacogdoches, Bonita and Sammy Addison of Wichita Falls; her boyfriend, Michael Powers of Tyler; and many loving cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Edward and Claudie Ites.
