Melanie Pike

Ms. Melanie Estelle Pike of San Augustine passed from this life on Tuesday, January 28, 2020,  in San Augustine County, Texas, thus attaining the age of 52 years, 9 months, and 26 days.  She was born April 2, 1967, in Lufkin, Texas to parents, Kay (Ponder) Davis and Lawrence Ray Pike.  For a number of years, she was employed as a butcher in the grocery business and was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2020, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, 316 West Columbia Street, in San Augustine, with Bro. Gerald Sowell officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday evening, February 1, 2020, from the hours of 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wyman Roberts.  Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in San Augustine County, located off Highway 147 N. from San Augustine.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her beloved parents, Kay Davis and her husband Carl of Broaddus and Lawrence Ray Pike and wife Kay of San Augustine; daughter, Jessie Abshire of Broaddus and son, Emory Abshire of Broaddus; granddaughter, Parker Rose Odom; her brother, Jason Pike and his wife Pam of Hardin, along with her nephews, Tyler and Brady Pike of Hardin along with numerous other family members and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesse and Dollie Ponder.
