Obituary

Mrs. Mary Ann Noble of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, 5 days.

She was born July 14, 1941, in Broaddus, Texas, to parents Robbie Lee (Sanders) and George Elton Lacy.

Mrs. Noble worked alongside her husband as they managed the family business, Noble and Co. She was a very active member, former Sunday school teacher at the Church of Christ in San Augustine. Mary Ann loved playing volleyball, ping pong, pitching washers, 42, and canasta. She was a fierce competitor and hated to lose. She and David spent much of their retirement fishing together on area Lakes. She was an avid gardener and loved working in her yard, growing beautiful flowers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her survivors include her husband, David Noble of San Augustine, Texas; sons, Steve Noble and wife Karen, and Scott Noble and fiancé Sandra, all of San Augustine, grandchildren, Zach Noble and wife Tiffani, Kade Noble and wife Kelli, Jake Noble, Cameron Noble, Bradley Noble, Courtney Thomas and husband Devonte, and Colin Noble; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two special nieces, Cheryl Ann and Dee Ann.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Elton Lacy Jr. and wife Tommie Lois.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, at San Augustine Church of Christ, 105 W. Market Street, with Stephen Wiggins officiating and family remarks by Kade Noble. Interment will follow at McMahan’s Chapel Cemetery near Geneva in Sabine County, Texas.

Pallbearers: Zach Noble, Kade Noble, Jake Noble, Bradley Noble, Colin Noble, and Larry Jackson. Honorary pallbearers: Hillman Hanks and Kenneth Garrett.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
