Mary Ruth Lincoln

Mary Ruth Lincoln, 75, of Broaddus, TX died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, surrounded by family, at St. Lukes Medical Center in Lufkin, TX.

She was born April 5,1948 in Brady, TX to James Virgil (JV) Friar and Oleta Francis (Heartcraft) Friar. She was preceded in death by both parents, son Larry Carmack II and grandson Jacob Lincoln.

She is survived by husband Hulen D. Lincoln Jr., and children Deana Ruth Lincoln and Matt McGowan, Jimmy and Jodi Lincoln, Sherry Lincoln, Eddie and Samantha Shell, Anthony Houston, Angela and Tom O’Boyle, Kristie and Tony Reeves, Chris and Jessica Woodall; grandchildren Nick, Tristin, Rylee, Odin, Cassidy, Morgan, Taylor and Wesley; siblings Fred and Betty Friar, Virgil Friar, Darlene and C.D. Lewis; numerous nieces,  nephews, other family members; Jackson Hill Marina family and many, many friends.

Mary never knew a stranger, only friends she had not met yet.  She was a woman with many hats, the family encyclopedia, the one everyone called for advice and made everyone feel loved.  Working at Jackson Hill Marina, she became Nanny to all of the kids and enjoyed meeting all of the people.  She taught us so many things except how to live without her.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 12-2 followed by service at 2 at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, San Augustine, TX .  Burial service will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 2 pm at Forest Oaks Memorial Park, located at 6300 W. William Canon Drive in Austin, Texas.
