Mr. Marlin Williams, age 88, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas.
Born October 1, 1932, in San Augustine County, Texas, to parents Paddie Williams and Agnes (Hodges) Williams, he was a lifelong resident of the Broaddus area and a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Marlin retired from Lufkin Industries Inc. after working several years as a welder. With a great passion, he was quite successful at gardening and was already making plans and preparations for this year's endeavors. Marlin also loved fishing and other outdoor activities.
His survivors include his wife of 66 years, Syble Wagstaff Williams of Broaddus, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Carla Williams of Diboll, Texas; grandsons, Randall Williams and wife Perla of Dallas, Texas, and Jessie Williams and wife Grace of Broaddus, Texas; great-grandchildren, Hailey Williams, Charlie Williams, Audrey Williams, and Levi Williams; and a sister, Betty Crocker of Broaddus, Texas.
He was preceded in death by hi son, Wilber Williams; parents, Paddie and Agnes Williams; and his brother, Harlon Williams.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Don Lofton officiating. Interment will follow at Hebron Cemetery, located on County Road 4600 off FM 83 near Broaddus, Texas.
Pallbearers: Paul Weatherford, Brock Weatherford, Brent Weatherford, Jordan Weatherford, Brandon Weatherford, and Corey Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers: Jessie Williams, Randy Williams, and Timothy Weatherford.
