Linda "Puddin" (Worthy) Rogers

Linda "Puddin" Worthy Rogers, age 75, of Pineland, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at a Longview, Texas, hospital.

Mrs. Rogers was born July 4, 1947, in Colmesneil, Texas, to parents Etta Faye (Pope) and Theo Worthy. She had lived in Pineland most of her life and was a 1965 graduate of West Sabine High School. She had worked as a bookkeeper in accounting and was a member of Pineland's First Baptist Church. Linda had a great passion for her family and enjoyed spending time with grandchildren. She loved cooking, sewing, and quilting as well as taking care of her plants.

Her survivors include her sons, Terry Rogers of Pineland, Texas, and Chris Rogers and wife Tammy of Pineland, Texas; a daughter, Christina McElhaney and husband Jimmy of San Augustine, Texas; sisters, Frankie Crowell and husband Ronny of Pineland, Texas, and Wanda Sowell of Jasper, Texas; sister-in-law, Sherry Worthy of Pineland, Texas; grandchildren, Madison Gipson and husband Koby, Mallory Hanks, Briley Rogers, Raylee Rogers, Kyle Hanks, Hannah McElhaney, Briannah McElhaney, and Olivia McElhaney; a great-granddaughter, Paisleigh Gipson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Theo Worthy; mother, Etta Faye Worthy Weeks and husband Earl "Buddy" Weeks; brothers, Marion "Bubba" Worthy and Thomas "Butch" Worthy; and sisters, Patsy Stiffler, Virginia "Ginger" Boyett, and Debra Worthy.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, San Augustine. Committal service and interment will follow at Lone Star Cemetery, located off U.S. Hwy. 96 in Pineland, Texas.

Pallbearers: Raymond Worthy, Briley Rogers, Michael Sowell, Tommy Matlock, Ray Worthy, and Jason Hanks. Honorary pallbearers: Kyle Hanks and Koby Gipson.
