Lawson A. Keaster

Mr. Lawson A. Keaster, age 90, of San Augustine, passed from this life on Sunday, January 12, 2020, in San Augustine.  He was born to the late Mylissie Jane (Barber) Keaster and Sylvester Keaster on April 13, 1929, in Howard County, Arkansas. 

Mr. Keaster was a retired logger and had worked in the Logging Industry for many years and was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sons, Darren L. Proctor of Sante Fe, Texas; Aaron L. Procter of Columbus, Ohio; Paul L. Proctor of Woodville, Texas; Roy L. Proctor of Trinity, Texas; Boyce Keaster of Arkansas and Jerry Keaster of Mississippi; grandchildren, Rebecca L. Boyerman of San Augustine, Texas; Breeanna F. Raminez of San Augustine, Texas; Brittany L. Wedgeworth of Etoile, Texas; Wesley A. Wedgeworth of San Augustine, Texas and Laura N. Eddings of San Augustine. Texas; her beloved great-grandchildren, Maliyah M. Ramirez and Liam A. Milligan, along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mylissie Jane and Sylvester Keaster,  his beloved wife, Charlsie Faye Keaster, several siblings, daughter, Linda F. Eddings, and granddaughter, Amanda Proctor.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, 316 West Columbia Street, in San Augustine with burial following in the Sowell Cemetery in San Augustine County. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, January 14, 2020, from the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wyman Roberts
