Mr. Larry Jeanes, age 76, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Colonial Pines Healthcare Center.
He was born November 27, 1946, in San Augustine County to parents K.P. and Louise (Dickerson) Jeanes. Larry had been a lifelong resident of the Broaddus/San Augustine area and retired after working as a machinist. He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and a member of Redland Masonic Lodge #3. A veteran, Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
His survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Anissa and Scott Smith of Chireno, Texas; granddaughter, Erica Adams of Chireno, Texas; great-granddaughter, Amelia Campos of Chireno, Texas; sister, Bonita Donner of Rapid City, South Dakota; brother, K.P. Jeanes and wife Cindy of Broaddus, Texas; sister, Renita Jeanes of Nacogdoches, Texas; sister, Cheena' Runnels and husband Randy of Broaddus, Texas; and sisters-in-law, Sharon Mathews and husband John, Beth Boudion and husband Myron of Lake Arthur, Louisiana, and Linda Jeanes of Broaddus, Texas.
Visistation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Jeanes, in 2010; and his parents, K.P. and Louise Jeanes.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Frank Holrath officiating. Interment will follow at Thomas Cemetery, located on County Road 274 in San Augustine County, Texas.
Pallbearers: Randy Runnels, Ben Miller, Scottie Guillory, Faron Schexnider, Billy Bennett, and Shane Mathews.
