JoAnn (Dillon) McBride

Mrs. JoAnn Dillon McBride, age 88, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. McBride was born January 17, 1936, in Livingston, Texas, to parents R.Q. and Gladys (Williams) Dillon and had lived in San Augustine County for several years. She was affiliated with the Baptist church. Mrs. McBride faithfully saw to the needs of her family as a dedicated homemaker and had also worked as a sales clerk in local grocery stores.

Her survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Rhonda McBride and Keith and Penny McBride, all of San Augustine; grandchildren, Matthew McBride and wife Amanda of Cypress, Christopher McBride and wife Yuan Yuan of Round Rock, Kelly Mancill and husband Christopher of San Augustine, Joseph McBride and wife Anh of Vietnam; step-grandchildren, Joseph McCallum and John McCallum; great-grandchildren, Ember, Kindle, Marshall, Asher, Sydni, Cason, and Aryana; step-great-grandchildren, Reece McCallum, Tadem McCallum, Autumn McCallum, and Joseph McCallum Jr.; and sisters, Essie Faye Crowson and Victoria Sue Boutin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Dexter McBride; a granddaughter, Kimberlyn Fyfe; and eight siblings, Patsy & Bill Bice, Nelda & J. B. Savoy, June & J. W. Freeman, Euzelle & Clara Dillon, N. K. & Wanda Dillon,  D. D. & Doris Dillon, Willie Dillon, Billy Dillon.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at McRae Cemetery, located at 794 County Road 220 near San Augustine.
