Jean Terry Sutton Wilkerson

Mrs. Jean Terry Sutton Wilkerson, age 93, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away December 10, 2021, at Colonial Pines Healthcare Center.

Mrs. Wilkerson was born December 12, 1927, in Ben Lomand, Arkansas, to parents Myrtle (Hubbard) and Will Terry. She was a longtime resident of Nederland, Texas, before moving to the Broaddus area several years ago. Jean was a retired hairdresser and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a dedicated Christian and taught Sunday School for 63 years at First Baptist Church of Broaddus and Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland.

She is survived by her sister, Pat Terry Wulf and husband Ray of Nederland, Texas; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Eulys E. "Sut" Sutton and Raymond "Ray" Wilkerson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Audrey LaVern and Woodrow Corbell and Dorothy Bea and Alfred Paul Ricks; and a brother and sister-in-law, L.C. and Syble Terry.

A celebration of life memorial service is set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Broaddus with the pastor, Dr. Wayne Barth, officiating.
