Janice Sue (Bass) Hensarling

Janice Sue Hensarling, age 67, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021, in Arlington, Texas.

Mrs. Hensarling was born August 24, 1954, in Nacogdoches County, Texas, to parents Mattie Louise "Pat" (Henry) and Ethan Calvin Bass. She had dedicated many years to serving in the health care field, being a Registered Nurse for 35 years--working 20 years as a Family Nurse Practictioner and 10 years as a professor of nursing. She and Kenneth Bryan Hensarling were married June 14, 1973, in San Augustine and had celebrated 48 years of marriage this year. She was a member of Stallings Drive Church of Christ in Nacogdoches.

Her survivors include her husband, Kenneth Bryan Hensarling; sons, Joseph Bryan Hensarling and Michael Seth Hensarling; a daughter, Natalie Kay Hensarling; her mother, Mattie "Pat" Louise Bass; daughters-in-law, Amy Elizabeth Hensarling and Kathryn Lauren Hensarling; grandchildren, Molly Elizabeth, Kaden Bryan, Lexi Grace, Ava Grace, Wyatt James, and Harper Jade; a brother, Zerrial Calvin Bass and wife Nancy Bass; sisters, Diana Louise Whitehead and Mary Doreen Millard and husband Glenn Millard; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ethan Calvin Bass; and a brother-in-law, Ed Tom Whitehead Jr.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that either a contribution be made to the Stallings Drive church of Christ or a donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) in Janice's name.
