Isabella “Bella” Guadalupe Mendoza Muñoz Obituary

Isabella “Bella” Guadalupe Mendoza Muñoz passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Texas Children’s Hospital at the age of 8 years, 7 months, and 12 days. She was born on September 4, 2014, in Longview, Texas to parents Damian Mendoza and Maribel Muñoz of San Augustine.

Our beautiful angel Bella lived a short but beautiful life loved by her parents, family, and friends. Her life was impacted by her loving therapists; Kalen, Robbin & Marsha that regularly checked on her since she was 3 months old and celebrated every milestone, the great care received was life changing and we will always be grateful. Bella was also impacted by beautiful hearts like her teachers from San Augustine Elementary that would do home schooling, she graduated kindergarten in 2021, received Honor Roll recognition in 1st grade and was currently in  2nd grade. We will always be grateful for always being by her side and celebrating every milestone. Especially thankful to Ms. Falbert McCoy-Garrett for reading stories to her, Ms. Josefina Diaz for always being present and willing to translate instructions, Ms. Cecil for reading to her and helping with activities and many other teachers, Ms. Davana Sanders, Ms. Corly, Ms. Pam Winfield, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Sheila Horrocks all became family. Our infinite gratitude to her pediatrician Dr. Amy Huggins of Pineywoods Pediatrics of Nacogdoches, TX, and the entire team for never leaving us and supporting us beyond their duty. The last few days we have had the support of Texas Childrens Woodlands Hospital and the team of doctors and nurses who made Bella’s transition as peaceful as possible.

Thank you very much to everyone who was part of Bella’s life, may God bless you all. She will be greatly missed, and she will remain in our hearts forever.
