Helen Farr Obituary

Mrs. Helen Louise Sowell Farr of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020, in San Augustine, Texas, at the age of 84.

Mrs. Farr was born October 2, 1935, in the Norwood community and was a longtime area resident. She was a retired nurse. Helen was a member of First Baptist Church as well as the John Gillespie Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She had a great love for crafting, quilting, and singing.

Her survivors include her husband, B.M. (Mirron) Farr of San Augustine County; daughters, Ann Pike of the Dallas area and Myra Williams of Sachse, Texas; a son, Marlon Farr of Humble, Texas; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest E. Sowell and Abby Cox Sowell.

Private services are being planned.
