Mr. Hedrick C. Bryan passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at his residence in San Augustine County at the age of 94.
He was born February 26, 1929, in Broaddus to parents Jefferson and Loda Lee (Gregory) Bryan. He was a lifelong resident of the Broaddus/San Augustine area and retired from the pipeline industry as a construction operator. Hedrick proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a longtime Christian and member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Bryan was also a member of Broaddus Masonic Lodge #1112.
His survivors include a son, James Bryan of San Augustine County; son and daughter-in-law, Roy A. and Malinda Bryan of San Augustine County; brother, Dwain Bryan of Utah; sister, Dessie Mae Christian of Kansas; granddaughters, Cheri Bryan and Amanda Cripe and husband Jake; and three great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson and Loda Lee Bryan; wives, Clotilde Bryan and Joyce Bryan; brothers, Marion Bryan, Clyde Bryan, Lloyd Bryan, Arthur Bryan, and Ray Bryan; and sister, Mary Ann Bryan and Armatha Amore.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the Wyman Roberts Chapel with Bro. Wayne Barth and Bro. Don Lofton officiating as well as Masonic rites. Burial will follow at Broaddus Cemetery with military honors being presented.
Pallbearers will be great-nephews, Gary Williams, Timothy Williams, and Chad Jones; and great-great-nephews, Matthew Bryan, Tyler Williams, and Hudson Williams.
