On July 23, 2023, Geoffrey Adam Wells went to meet his Lord and Savior. He passed away under Texas skies in the beautiful Piney Woods.
He is survived by his wonderful wife, Amy; his three sons, Andrew, Brett and Clint; daughter-in-law, LaNae; his little grandbaby, Owen; his mom, Connie (Kelly); sisters, Kim, Sandra, and Katrina; and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney; and a sister, Amy.
Born March 25, 1970, in Shiloh Valley, Illinois, he grew up in Southern Texas. Geoff met Amy in 1993 while visiting friends in Colorado at her father’s church. They were married three short months later and were to celebrate their 30th anniversary later this year.
February 1998, in Houston, Texas, they welcomed their first son Andrew and Brett arrived in 2000. Six weeks later they all moved to Colorado where Geoff began his 23 year long career with Broomfield City and County Public Works. He retired as the Superintendent of Streets. In 2005, Clint, the final Wells boy arrived.
Geoff spent the following years being his sons’ #1 fan and a staple fixture at all of their sporting events. Geoff was dedicated to witnessing and sharing the love of God through his talented singing and ability to connect with almost everyone he met.
Andrew married LaNae in 2018 and they welcomed Geoff’s first grandson, Owen born in April 2023.
Geoff was the most gentle giant with an amazing sense of humor and quick wit. He loved nothing more than family and in 2022 started their quest to return home to Texas. Where they established the Wells Family Acres, it is here where they will continue to honor his memory by living out his dream.
A Celebration of Life memorial service is being planned for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Broaddus Pentecostal Church, located on Hwy. 147 South in Broaddus, Texas.
