Doris Mae Hollis

Mrs. Dora Mae Hollis, age 94, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021, in San Augustine, Texas. 

Mrs. Hollis was born April 17, 1927, in Chireno, Texas, to parents Rose and Gage Kegler and had been a longtime resident of San Augustine. She worked as a housekeeper and was a faithful member of Roberts Baptist Church, having served as secretary for many years.

She was married to Dub H. Hollis on December 23, 1946, and he preceded her in death.

Her survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sigrid Hollis; a son, Alvin Hollis; a sister, Velma Roberts; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Roberts Baptist Church located at 1535 FM 2213 in San Augustine County.  Interment will follow in the Roberts Cemetery.
