Darrell Keith Henley of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, in Orlando, Florida.
He was part of the Cypress Cove community of Kissimmee. Having lived there only eight months, he made many, many friends in that short period of time.
Darrell Keith, better known as Keith to family and friends, and Sparky by his co-workers at Shell Oil, was born February 24, 1956, in San Augustine County, Texas, to parents Earl and Gladys Parker Henley.
Keith was a resident of San Augustine County, Texas, until he graduated from Broaddus High School, class of 1974. He moved to Harris County, Texas, where he had a long and successful career at Shell Oil Company-Deer Park, Texas. He was hired in 1976, working first at the resin plant for Shell Chemicals, and later transferring to the Shell Refinery Lab where he remained until he retired. Later he was owner and operator of his own printing business in Pasadena, Texas.
Keith lived a very full life for the 66 years and 3 days that God granted him on this earth. He loved fishing with family and friends in Lake Sam Rayburn and enjoyed several deer and elk hunting outings in Wyoming.
He accepted the Lord as his Saviour many years ago in his youth. Keith was a member of Brookhill Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas.
He had an unusual sense of humor. He would sometimes reply in context to a conversation, and yet his response might very well be out of the box leaving the listener to think about what he said; and then an hour or two later the meaning of his comment would come clear.
He loved his family very much. Those left to cherish his memories are daughters, Tabitha Elaine Henley Pearch and husband Regis Todd Pearch of Kissimmee, Florida, Reba Marie Henley French of Livingston, Texas, and Ashley Gladys Henley of Ocala, Florida; sons, Conner Jayde Henley of Ocala, Florida, and Daniel Keith Henley of Ocala, Florida; sisters, Mildred Earline Couch of San Augustine, Texas, and Gladys Elaine Wells of Broaddus, Texas; a brother, Grady Ray Henley and wife Jo Ann of Deer Park, Texas; two grandchildren, Colt Danger Pearch of Kissimmee, Florida, and Taylor Ann-Marie French of San Augustine, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Henley; mother, Gladys Parker Henley; and a sister, Barbara Sue Evans.
Memorial service will be held at Sowell Cemetery, San Augustine County Texas, on April 10, 2022 at 2:00 P. M.
