Charles Clay Pickard

Mr. Charles Clay Pickard of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in Brenham, Texas, at the age of 62 years, 9 months.

"Clay" was born May 15, 1960, in San Augustine, Texas, to Martha (Wood) and Willie Joe Pickard. He had lived in the San Augustine area most of his life and worked in utility construction. He found great joy in collecting various items and was a very generous spirited guy who loved helping people. Clay was a hard worker and enjoyed family time with his loved ones.

His survivors include his mother, Martha French of Lufkin, Texas; sons, Brian Pickard, Joe Pickard and his wife Shannon, and Mathew Pickard and his wife Alyssa, all of Brenham, Texas; grandchildren, Olivia Pickard and Oliver Pickard, both of Brenham, Texas; and his siblings, Sabrina Horn of Brenham, Texas, Laura DeCarlo of Huntington, Texas, Beth Pickard of Hemphill, Texas, Jody Pickard of Milam, Texas, Eric Pickard of San Augustine, Texas, and Susie Pickard of Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Joe Pickard, in 2006.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Randy Mills officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Attoyac Cemetery, located at 600 FM 3316.

Pallbearers: Brian Pickard, Joe Pickard, Mathew Pickard, Jody Pickard, Eric Pickard, and Eric Pickard Jr. Honorary pallbearers: Kaleb Hall and Tyler Byley.
