Charles William Rodgers

Mr. Charles William Rodgers, age 74, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at his residence in the Norwood community.

He was born April 9, 1948, in Houston, Texas, to parents Oma Jane (Martindale) and Walter J. Rodgers. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after many years of faithful service. Mr. Rodges was affiliated with the Baptist faith and had lived in the Norwood community for several years.

His survivors include his children, Linda Sullivan and husband Christopher of Cherokee, Texas, Lisa Gustafson and husband David of Shepherd, Texas, Russell Rodgers and wife of Liberty, Texas, and Kimberly Rodgers of Liberty, Texas; step-sons, Walter Langley and Justin Langley, both of San Augustine County, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jodine Rodgers; parents, Walter and Oma Jane Rodgers; son, Vernon Rodgers; and sisters, Jean Barrington and Cathy Hoffard.

Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, at Oak Grove Cemetery near Broaddus, Texas.
