Mrs. Bonnie Frank Mayberry, age 74, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Colonial Pines Care Center in San Augustine, Texas.
Mrs. Mayberry was born September 3, 1947, in Orange, Texas, to parents Edith (Fontenot) and Frank Granger. She spent many years in the Livingston/Onalaska area of Polk County before moving to Broaddus 22 years ago. Bonnie attended Livingston High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball.
Bonnie worked many years with outstanding service as a waitress at a variety of restaurants. She loved anything outdoors, with a great passion for hunting and fishing, along with gardening and farming. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Broaddus.
Her survivors include her husband, Jimmy D. Mayberry of Broaddus; her son, Derrell Keith "Sambo" Johnson and wife Angela Tracie of Livingston; grandchildren, Kristen Chelsey Brubaker and husband Richard, Brandon Keith Johnson and wife Leslie, and Jordan Blake Johnson, all of Livingston; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Brook Brubaker, Jaxson Gage Brubaker, and Rain Johnson, all of Livingston; brothers, Jake McNiel of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, and Kenneth "Tadpole" McNiel of Livingston; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edith Schlottman, Charles Clinton McNiel, and Frank Granger; brothers, Joey McNiel and Charlie McNiel; and a sister, Lisa White.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home chapel, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine.
