Bobby Wayne Weatherford

Mr. Bobby Wayne Weatherford, 81, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, in San Augustine.

He was born July 26, 1941, on the family homeplace in the Hebron community to Enoch Daniel Weatherford and Ollie Mae Williams Weatherford. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Ann Kingsley, on June 21, 1963.

He was a log truck driver for 48 years. Everyone knew him as "Santa Claus" on the CB radio. He enjoyed his retirement being outdoors and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed deer hunting and killed his last deer at the age of 79.

Bobby is survived by his sons, Brock Weatherford and wife, Joann, and Brent Weatherford and wife, Christi; grandchildren, Brandon Weatherford and wife, Shelby, Jordan Weatherford and wife, Candice, Kacy Garrett and husband, CJ, Kady Wall and husband, Sterlin, Weston Davis and wife, Sydney, and Bryson Davis and Alyssa White; and great-grandchildren, Skyler, Gracie, Rynlie, Jensen, Cinch, Axel, Braysher, and Westlynn Kayte. He is also survived by a brother, Barney Weatherford and wife, Janie, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Weatherford; father, Enoch Daniel Weatherford; mother, Ollie Mae Weatherford; brother, Billy Ray Weatherford; sister, Doris Warren; brother, Enoch Daniel Weatherford Jr.; and sister, Pauline Baldwin.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at CrossRoads Christian Center Church, located at the intersection of Hwy. 103 and FM 1277 in San Augustine County.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023, officiating by Bro. Tim Swanson, at CrossRoads Christian Center Church. Committal service and interment will follow at the Hebron Cemetery with Brandon Weatherford, Jordan Weatherford, Weston Davis, Bryson Davis, Paul Weatherford, and Edward White serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers: Tim Weatherford, CJ Garrett, Sterlin Wall, and Robert Lemoine.
