Mr. Billy Wayne Durham, age 86, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Stone Creek Village Care Center in San Augustine, Texas.
Born September 4, 1935, in O'Donnell, Texas, to parents Morris Durham and Vivian (Gaddis) Durham and also William Clark who raised him. He was a lifelong resident of San Augustine after having moved from Beaumont area. He met and married his sweetheart, Ima Jean Dykes. Throughout their years, they became best friends and were true helpmates to each other. He was in the ceramic tile business and was an artist and a perfectionist when it came to his work. In his younger adult years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He spent his last 6 and half years at the Stone Creek Village Care Center where he was very well loved and cared for and leaves behind many friends there.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Cindy and her husband K.P. Jeanes, and Patsy and her husband Benny Mott; son, Cliff and his wife Michell Durham; grandchildren, Jade and her husband Ben Miller, K.P. Jeanes III, Casey and his wife Hannah Mott, Kellie Celsor and her husband Cory, and Hagen Durham and his wife Hannah; and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Lash Clark; sister, Frances Moore and her husband Kenny, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Yarborough.
He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Ima Jean Durham, his brothers, Cliff and Gene; sisters, Dorothy and Verna.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Kitchens Cemetery near Zavalla, Texas.
