Billy Gene Williams Obituary

Mr. Billy Gene Williams, age 87, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Monday, August 3, 2020, in San Augustine.

A San Augustine County native, he was born January 4, 1933, in the White City community to parents Melton Emory Williams and Rosa Mae (Marshall) Williams. He enjoyed outdoor activities and retired from Temple-Inland after working several years as a boiler tender. Williams was a U.S. Army veteran, having attained the rank of Sergeant.

His survivors include his sons, Billy Joe Williams and Janice of San Augustine, Robby Gene Williams and Pat of San Augustine, and Shelton Emory Williams and Sandi of Chireno; daughters, Barbara Gayle Boyett and Tommy of San Augustine, and Nancy Boyette and Oliver of San Augustine; a sister-in-law, Wanda Williams of Broaddus; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, along with his wife, Martha Mae Goodwin Williams; daughter, Micha Waynece Sowell; son, Dannis Joel Flournoy; a grandson, Robert Clinton Isenblitter; and his siblings.
