Betty (Birdwell) Harvey

Mrs. Betty Harvey, age 75, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at a Lufkin hospital.

A native and longtime resident of San Augustine County, she was born January 3, 1945, to parents Murray and Agnes (Sowell) Birdwell. Betty was a homemaker and a faithful Baptist church member.

Her survivors include her children, Mellissa Chandler and her husband James of Lufkin, David Harvey of Chireno, Dorsey Harvey of San Augustine, and Jerry Barnett and her husband Charlie of Lufkin; grandchildren, J.D. Chandler of Lufkin, Brandi Moore and Kyle of Chireno, Courtney Willis and David of Lufkin, Zachary Harvey and Shelby of Chireno, Leah Harvey and Chris Martinez of Nacogdoches, Blake Harvey and Jande of California, Pete Harvey and Sara of San Augustine, Brenna Daugherty of San Augstine, Colton Harvey of San Augustine, Johnathan Orso of Lufkin, and Victoria Burnett; brothers, Jerry Birdwell of San Augustine and Wilburn Birdwell and wife Vickey of North Carolina; a sister, JoAnn Snell and husband DeWayne of Broaddus; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Harvey; her parents, Murray and Agnes Birdwell; a son, Everett Douglas Harvey; and a granddaughter, Amanda Proctor.

Graveside services are planned for 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2020, at Harvey Cemetery, located on Highway 147 South in Broaddus, with Bro. Charles Lynn Williams officiating.

Pallbearers: Bobby Keith Williams, Jimmy Dale Williams, David Willis, Colton Harvey, Zachary Harvey, and Kyle Moore.
