Alvina (Tapia-Coronado) Elizalde

Mrs. Alvina Tapia Elizalde, age 91, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, in Broaddus, Texas.

Mrs. Elizalde was born March 31, 1930, in Beeville, Texas, to parents Maria (Chavarria) and Jose Tapia and had lived in Broaddus for several years. She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She was married June 29, 1965, to Santos Elizalde in Center, Texas, and he prededed her in death on March 28, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Maria Tapia; daughter, Yolanda Coronado; daughter-in-law, Billie Coronado; a step-son, Alberto Elizalde; and a son-in-law, Bryan Bragg.

Her survivors include daughters, Mary Sanchez and husband Manuel of Lubbock, Texas, and Rachel Bragg of Broaddus, Texas; sons, Frederico Coronado of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Gabriel Elizalde and wife Melissa of Broaddus, Texas; daughter-in-law Maria Elizalde; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 36 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church, located at 310 FM 83 East in Broaddus, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 201, at Trinity Baptist Church, Broaddus, with Pastor Don Lofton officiating. Interment will follow at Broaddus Cemetery.
