Adrienne Montgomery

Miss Adrienne Montgomery, age 50, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away September 19, 2022, at her residence.

Adrienne was born November 30, 1971, in San Antonio, Texas, to parents Collis and Wilma (Hale) Montgomery. She had lived most of her life in San Augustine. After graduation from San Augustine High School, she continued her education and received a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University. A great joy for Adrienne was returning to her hometown and serving many years as a director at the San Augustine Public Library--this was very fitting to Adrienne with her great love for books and reading.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews, and enjoyed traveling. Animals had a special place in her heart and Adrienne had cared for many stray animals, giving them a home and affection. Adrienne was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

Her survivors include her mother, Wilma Montgomery of San Augustine; her sister, Kristy Chandler of Houston; and nieces and nephews, Kody Chandler, Kamryn Chandler, Kai Chandler, and Stormi Slayden, all of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Collis Montgomery.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home chapel, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, with Rev. Tim Turner officiating.
