Wayne Holt, age 66, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed from this life on Friday, August 30, 2019, in San Augustine after an extended illness.
Mr. Holt was born June 30, 1953, in Lufkin, Texas, to Clydie Jones Holt and the late Burval Holt. He was a longtime resident of San Augustine County and member of First Baptist Church in Center. Wayne was self-employed as a carpenter and home builder. He had formerly served as County Judge for San Augustine County.
His survivors include his wife, Sandra Holt; daughters, Lora Holt and Emily Holt; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Angela Holt and TeWayne and Megan Holt; grandchildren, Tyler Mosley, Madison McLin, and Chase Witcher; sisters and brother-in-law, Sharon and Andy Taylor and Glenda Swor; and his mother, Clydie Holt.
He was preceded in death by his father, Burval Holt.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2019, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, 316 West Columbia Street in San Augustine, with Bro. Bobby Bressman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening, August 31, 2019, from the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wyman Roberts.
Interment will follow at the Holt Cemetery in San Augustine County, Texas.
Pallbearers: David Stonham, Norman Neel, Richard Burns, Kevin Lynch, Steve Jeans, and Jere Snell. Honorary pallbearers: Randy Isenblitter, Matt Loftice, Gene Walker, and Burnice Blackstock.
