Mrs. Tommie Lois Lacy, age 87, of Broaddus,Texas, passed from this life in the morning hours of Monday, December 23, 2019, at her home in Broaddus.
She was born July 25, 1932, in Baytown, Texas, to Elmon and Ester Smith. She married the love of her life, George E. Lacy Jr., on December 15, 1950, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Broaddus. Tommie and her husband owned and operated Lacy's Fishing Supply for many years. She was loved by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Mott and husband Buddy, and Dee Turner and husband Kirk; grandchildren, Kim Lee and husband Chad, Krystal Birdwell and husband Darrell Williams, Travis Turner, T.A. Turner and wife Kelly, Tray Turner and wife Katie, Justin Mott, Jemery Mott and wife Delany, and Beth Martin and husband Ridge; and great-grandchildren, Kaily Rodriguez and husband Cameron, Kade Cox, Tatum Turner, D.W. Williams, Ace Turner, Tylar Turner, Maci Turner, Sadie Rose Mott, Lindsey Martin, and Hannah Mott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Lacy Jr.; parents, Elmon and Ester Smith; sisters, Thelma Mae Smith and Mary Butcher; and brothers, Lonnie Bee Smith, Doyle Smith, and Troy Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019, at First Baptist Church, located at 207 Buchanan Street in Broaddus, with the pastor, Dr. Wayne Barth, officiating. Interment will follow at Broaddus Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Travis Turner, T.A. Turner, Tray Turner, Cameron Rodriguez, Kade Cox, Chad Lee, Buddy Mott, and Kirk Turner.
Honorary pallbearers: all members of First Baptist Church, Broaddus.
