Perry Sanders

Perry Sanders, age 80, of Lufkin, passed from this life on Saturday, October 12, 2019, in Lufkin, Texas.  He was born to the late Audrey Maydell (Axley)  Sanders and Lloyd Sanders on March 22, 1939, in Chireno, Texas.  He was in the farming industry.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019, in the Attoyac Cemetery in San Augustine County, with David Cole Sherman officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Miriam (Allen) Sanders of Lufkin; grandson, Bernard I. Helphingstine, Jr. of Kentucky; great-granddaughter, Diana N. Helphingstine of Kentucky; sister, Mattie Martin of Lukin/Redland; god-son, Richard Martin, Jr, and his wife, Lugene of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; god-daughter, Sheree Welch and her husband, Ted of Tennessee, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and close friends he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Lloyd and Audrey Maydell Sanders; daughter, Diana Sanders; Sister, Bobbie Lee Sanders; brothers, Lloyd Elbert Sanders; Charles Gilbert Sanders, and a grandson, Anthony Perry Helphingstine.
