Ima Jean Durham passed from this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in San Augustine. Mrs. Durham was born June 18, 1938, to Ernest and Ora (Williamson) Dykes in Rockland, Texas. She was 81 years old.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, 316 West Columbia Street in San Augustine, with Bro. Otis Bryan officiating. Burial will be in the Kitchens Cemetery in Zavalla.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning, December 14, 2019, from the hour of 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine.
Mrs. Durham graduated from Colmesniel High School in Colmesniel, Texas, and on August 4, 1956, she married her sweetheart, Billy Durham. She was a full-time homemaker and mother to her three children. She was a talented and creative seamstress and appliance repair person. Although she battled multiple sclerosis for many years, she always displayed the grace of God and a joyful attitude. Because of this, she was an inspiration to many people.
Those to who will cherish her memory include, her beloved husband of 63 years, Billy Durham of San Augustine; her daughters, Cindy, and her husband, K.P Jeanes II of San Augustine; Patsy Mott and her husband, Benny of Tyler; son, Cliff Durham and his wife, Michelle of San Augustine; sister, Dorothy Yarbrough of Spurger; her beloved grandchildren, Jade and her husband, Ben Miller of San Augustine; K.P. Jeanes III of Beaumont; Casey Mott and his wife, Hannah of Woodridge, Illinois; Kelli Celsor and her husband, Corey of Nashville, Tennessee and Hagen Durham of San Augustine, along with her beloved great-grandchildren, Sayde Miller; Maggie Miller and Thea and Ivy Mott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Ernest Dykes; brothers, Buster Dykes and W.D. Dykes.
